Assistant Professor of Physics Katherine Aidala traveled to the White House last week as one of 94 researchers to receive a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers from President Barack Obama. This is the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their careers. In this video she discusses her research, the trip, and the advice she gave President Obama to share with his daughters.
