Alumnae and Laurel Parade 2011

Skies were cloudy, but the mood was sunny as members of the class of 2011 were welcomed into Mount Holyoke's alumnae community Saturday morning in the annual Laurel Parade.

Dressed in white to honor the suffragettes and cheered on by alumnae classes from 1931 to 2009, seniors carried a chain of laurel leaves to lay on the grave of College founder Mary Lyon. After being addressed by Alumnae Association President Cynthia L. Reed '80, the graduates stilled an enormous crowd of well-wishers with the traditional singing of "Bread and Roses."
