Shortly after Donald Trump was elected president, Amy Siskind, a former Wall Street executive, began compiling a list of actions taken by his administration.
She tagged it, “Experts in authoritarianism advise to keep a list of things subtly changing around you, so you’ll remember.” The weekly list went viral and now has more than half a million viewers.
Siskind compiled her list into a book called “The List,” and she will be speaking about it at Mount Holyoke College on Tuesday, October 23, at 7 p.m. in Gamble Auditorium. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Weissman Center for Leadership and the politics department with the Odyssey Bookshop, which will have copies of Siskind’s book available for purchase.
Siskind is the co-founder of The New Agenda, a national organization that focuses on economic independence and advancement, gender representation and bias, and campus sexual assault. She has appeared in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and New York Times.
