A novel coauthored by Carol Higgins Clark '78 and her mother, mystery writer Mary Higgins Clark, has been made into a movie that will be broadcast December 20 by TNT as part of The TNT Mystery Movie Night, a new series of contemporary procedural dramas.

Deck the Halls (2000), the first of five best-selling holiday novels Clark has coauthored with her mother, is billed as "a warm-hearted story (that) brings together two of the authors' most popular characters--cleaning-woman-turned-private-eye Alvirah Meegan and Detective Regan Reilly." The plot involves the kidnapping of Reilly's father and his driver just before the holidays and the investigators' subsequent quest to find them and bring them to safety. The cast of the movie features Jane Alexander, Kathy Najimy, and Scottie Thompson.

Clark's most recent solo book, Mobbed, was published last April by Scribner and is her fourteenth mystery featuring the heroine Regan Reilly.
