London on The Tyranny of Milk
Visiting Lecturer in English Sara London recently read from her book of poems The Tyranny of Milk at the Odyssey Bookshop. The book’s title poem, London explains, is about a pair of over-lactating cows who stop by a family’s home for Shabbat dinner. The book's other poems cover a wide range of ideas, from family to memory and many other things in between.
“Poetry,” London says, “is one of the oldest forms of singing about our lives.”
