Mount Holyoke College and City Year, an organization that encourages young people to give a year of full-time service in K-12 schools, are partnering to provide a 50 percent scholarship toward MHC’s Master of Arts in Teaching program for aspiring middle and secondary school teachers.
Ten “give a year” scholarships will be offered over the next five years (two each year). Applicants must be alums, corps, or staff of City Year, who intend to be full-time M.A.T. students.
Mount Holyoke’s flexible, 11-month M.A.T. includes an innovative curriculum, personalized advising, initial teacher licensure in 19 subject areas, and a unique collaboration with Expeditionary Learning, a nonprofit educational organization that is transforming schools across the country.
To be considered for the Mount Holyoke M.A.T. give a year scholarship, contact the Office of Admission at firstname.lastname@example.org or 413-538-3497 and reference MHC’s partnership with City Year. Admission is rolling.
