The book-lovers website Bookbub Bulletin chose ten New England college libraries as particularly cozy places in which to spend a winter afternoon.
Mount Holyoke’s Williston Memorial Library was prominently featured in the article. It was nicknamed “The Anglophile” since it was designed to resemble London’s Westminster Hall, seat of the British parliament.
“An afternoon here could transport you across the pond,” Bookbub wrote.
If you grab a cup of tea at Rao’s and peruse the latest London Times in Williston Library’s hammer-beamed reading room, you could easily “travel” to London for a cozy afternoon this winter.
