MHC’s Robert Shaw Discusses Poetry

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 - 12:30pm

Emily Dickinson Professor of English Robert Shaw explores memory, literature, and the New England landscape in his recently published book of poetry, Aromatics (Pinyon Publishing).

“If I were spending my life in some other area of the country, I think my poetry would be very different because I write a great deal about place, about the surroundings we have, and the seasons as we experience them,” he says. “It wouldn’t be the same if I were in Tucson or Tallahassee.”
