Mount Holyoke Garners Three More Fulbrights

Posted: May 11, 2006

Melissa Yasinow '06, Katie Flachs '06, and Edana Kleinhans '03 recently learned that they have received Fulbright Fellowships to travel abroad next year. Yasinow plans to teach English in South Korea, possibly at a girls' school. Flachs will go to Canada to work on a project involving the delivery of health services to immigrant groups. She is the niece of Rose and Charles Flachs, associate professors of dance at Mount Holyoke. Edana Kleinhans '03 will teach in Germany.

This brings Mount Holyoke's count to five Fulbrights awards for the year, including Lindsay Chura '06, who will go to Australia, and Viviane Callier, who declined the Fulbright in order to accept the Churchill Scholarship.
