Service to Feature 34 Individuals and 2 Choirs

South Hadley, MA-- This Sunday, October 18 at 9:30 AM in Abbey Chapel Mount Holyoke College will host a multi-cultural interfaith worship service that is free and open to the public. The service was co-created with members of the Mount Holyoke Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Protestant, and Catholic communities.

The service will feature The Mount Holyoke College Glee Club under the direction of Catharine Melhorn; gospel group, Voices of Faith; musical talents of Larry Schipull; and Dean of Religious Life, Andrea Ayvazian preaching. Other participants, who shaped and will share in the leadership of the interfaith serivce, include Beverly Daniel Tatum, Dean of the College; Susan Burggraf, Advisor to the Buddhist Community; Shamshad Sheikh, Advisor to the Muslim Community; and Rabbi Donna Berman, Advisor to the Jewish Community. This worship service is sponsored by the Office of Religious Life. All are welcome to join.
