On Sunday, March 11, at 3 pm the Mount Holyoke Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Eric Benjamin, will present a concert that explores repetition--an essential component of any music--at a micro and macro level, and the role it plays in the construction of a symphony, in the syntax of a style, and in our experience as players and listeners. Featured music includes a concerto by Wienawski with violinist Jayne Olm-Shipman '10 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 (Pastorale).
The concert will be performed in McCulloch Auditorium, Pratt Hall, and is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Michèle Scanlon or call 413-538-2306.
