Politics Course Forges Career Links
Mount Holyoke's Nexus program enables students to link their liberal arts education with practical experience as they explore their career goals. In the Politics & Rhetoric course, which is part of the College's Journalism, Media, and Public Discourse Nexus, students came together in the classroom to combine traditional liberal-arts learning with a political campaign simulation.
Along the way, they received mentoring from a group of campaign professionals and elected officials that included several alumnae. In this video by John Martins, participants explain what the course meant for them, their academic interests, and their future careers.
