The new Blackstick Review—its tenth issue—will be published next week.  Students whose short stories are featured in this year’s edition will read from their work on Wednesday, April 30, at 4 pm in Shattuck Hall’s Cassani Room.

The Blackstick Review was Mount Holyoke’s first online literary magazine, according to Professor of English Corinne Demas. All of this year’s Review writers and editors are students in her English 303 Advanced Short-Story Writing seminar.

LITS consultant Mary Stettner works with the students to create an online journal, though the Review is also published in print.

Copies of the print version will be available at the April 30 event, and the new online version will go live that day as well.

The reading is open to all. Birthday cake will be served to commemorate the review’s tenth anniversary.
