Sutphen '89 on U.S. Leadership in the World

The Weissman Center for Leadership and the Liberal Arts brought Mona Sutphen ’89 to campus February 9 to talk about U.S. leadership in the current era of global economic and political turmoil. Sutphen is a member of President Barack Obama’s Advisory Intelligence Board and a managing director at UBS, where she handles geopolitical and policy risk matters. As a former deputy chief of staff for Obama, she advised the president on a range of issues, including regulatory matters and economic policy. Prior to that, she served as a foreign service officer for nearly ten years, working in countries around the world. See photos from the reception before the lecture.
