What The Lynk Initiative Offers Students

The Lynk initiative has been active for months, and now an enhanced Web presence makes it easier for students to find and use the rich array of resources Mount Holyoke provides to connect classroom experiences with career possibilities.

The new microsite—at mtholyoke.edu/lynk—lays out the progression students usually follow in four sections:

  • Goal Setting
  • Professional Development
  • Practical Experience
  • The Launch

Each section has information about various opportunities to explore and details on how to make them a reality.

Funding one unpaid or underpaid research opportunity or internship experience for each student is a central goal of The Lynk, so the Practical Experience section provides direction on finding the right internship and applying for funding.

A wealth of related information—about Nexus, the Career Development Center, Community-Based Learning, and connecting with alumnae via the Alumnae Association's Career Network and LinkedIn group, for example—is also easily accessible from The Lynk microsite.
