The Fate of Omo's Indegenous Community- Omo Valley, Ethiopia
Major: International Relations
Through questions that focus on the impacts of the hydroelectric dam, I examined the environmental and social changes that may result from the construction of this dam. I conducted ethnographic interviews with indigenous communities that live around the Omo river, and gathered information from government representatives and Environmental and Social Monitoring Coordinators. I put together the collected data, and generated a research paper to be submitted to Mount Holyoke College.
