I liked working for the Gardening the Community(GtC) because I enjoy gardening and I believe in what GtC stands for. It is beautiful when an organization can help members of its community realize the value in gardening for yourself and enjoying fresh foods. I enjoyed supervising the youth because it allowed me to teach them about food justice and nutrition. In addition, I was also able to investigate research on the importance of GtC in the community. GtC helped me understand better the problems in the city and how they can be addressed. Selling vegetables at the market also improved my "marketing" skills. I had a wonderful summer experience with the GtC.
