Environmental Journalist at chinadialogue, San Francisco, CA
Major: Environmental Studies
I spent two months this summer in San Francisco working as an journalist intern with chinadialogue, the only organization that works on environmental journalism bilingually in Chinese and English. Since the US office is fairly new, our team is quite small so that everyone contributes a lot and gets feedback frequently. I managed to publish three blogs on chinadialogue website related to green banking, heavy-duty vehicle regulation and protest against Keystone XL pipeline. I also helped with some translation work, networking and research projects. This was also my first experience working with a NGO, which gave me a detailed idea on NGO operation and enhanced my network.
