Ruby Maddox is the Assistant Director for the Miller Worley Center for the Environment. Ruby works with the Center to develop and implement strategies for environmental literacy across the campus and wider community, through public events, internships, volunteer opportunities, and building collaborations.
Ruby is the co-founder of Gardening the Community (GtC), a youth urban agriculture program in Springfield, and currently serves on GtC's advisory board. Ruby received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, majoring in Public Policy and Urban Communities. She received her M.S. in from Bay Path College in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy. Her research endeavors have primarily focused on community engagement, urban development policy, and food justice.
