Exploring links, boundaries and social structures that bind us by teaching English

Andrew found his way to the classroom via his first experience in teaching, at the Exeter Summer School in 2005. Ever since, teaching has taken him to great and exciting places: first back to Hotchkiss, then off to Singapore and Korea, then on to Suffield Academy, and finally to the M.A.T. at Mount Holyoke College. Andrew now teaches at the Kent Denver School in Denver, Colorado, where he teaches English in the Upper School and advises the yearbook. When not teaching, Andrew is happiest when he can explore the links, boundaries and social structures that shape us. He feels that teaching secondary English offers one of the best opportunities for him and his students to do this.
