Kavitha Subramanian

Kavitha Subramanian is a private equity investment professional, currently working at LeapFrog Investments, a social impact investor that values profits and purpose equally. Previously she was at Actis, where she focused on health care investments in South Asia. Her investments include a $50 million investment in Symbiotec and a $30 million investment in Asiri Hospitals.

Prior to this, Subramanian worked at Barclays, where she led strategic alliances and piloted initiatives on alternate banking channels. She has also served as associate vice president at SKS Microfinance, creating and launching India’s first rural mobile-banking initiative. Subramanian began her career at McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant, where she advised clients across sectors including health care, technology, and banking.

Subramanian holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was awarded the Shils/Ziedman Fellowship for Entrepreneurship. She also holds BTech and MTech degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, graduating in the top 2 percent of her class.
