Sairee Chahal

Sairee Chahal is the founder and CEO of SHEROES, a career-development website for women that connects job-seekers with flexible careers throughout India. SHEROES also trains businesses to help them connect with female talent in form of employees, partners, customers and business owners. The SHEROES Summit has been instrumental in bringing businesses and women professionals together on a common platform.

Chahal is a longtime champion of women in the workforce in India. A believer in work-life redesign, serial entrepreneur, mentor, occasional writer and mother of a 9-year-old, Chahal started her career as a journalist with an advertising and marketing magazine. She has worked for start-ups as well as for large organizations in research and consulting capacities.  Early in her career, she co-founded Fleximoms, a diversity-solutions provider based in Delhi that connects women who are seeking to enter or re-enter the workplace with job opportunities, information and mentoring.

Chahal is a Cartier Women’s Award Initiative winner and been listed in Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Indian Business 2012. She was nominated for L’Oreal Paris Femina Women’s Award 2014: the Editor’s Choice: Women We Love. She has been featured on shows including “The Young Turks,” “Pioneering Spirit” and “What Women Want.” A TED speaker, Chahal is an Aspen Global Leadership Network fellow.

Chahal received her master’s in philosophy and international relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi and a postgraduate degree in business management from the Management Institute of India at the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad.
