Mount Holyoke offers three graduate degree programs for educators: 

  • Master of Arts in Teaching
    The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) is an accelerated coed teacher education program for aspiring early childhood, elementary, middle, and secondary school teachers. The flexible, year-long program includes an innovative curriculum, a unique collaboration with EL Education, personalized advising, and initial teacher licensure in a wide variety of subject areas including Moderate Disabilities and English Language Learners and a specialized curriculum for early career teachers working in Independent Schools.   • Master of Arts in Mathematics Teaching
    The Master of Arts in Mathematics Teaching degree (M.A.M.T.) offered by the Mathematics Leadership Programs of Mount Holyoke College is a coed, hybrid program designed for K-8 educators who wish to deepen their mathematical content and pedagogical knowledge, build leadership skills, and earn a masters degree. Course assignments have immediate application in school settings and support the work of teachers, coaches, and instructional specialists. Learn more

  • Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership

    The Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership degree (M.A.T.L.) is a 32-credit graduate program that was developed with the expressed goal of meeting the needs of working educators in schools across the nation and around the world. Students have the option of completing all courses online in the evenings or attending some sessions on our campus. Our faculty are experts in the field and, through our partnership with the National Network of State Teachers of the Year, many of our classes feature embedded teacher leader practitioners as co-facilitators.  All of our courses are specifically designed to equip educators with practical skills that they can apply immediately in their schools to build stronger education systems for preK-12 students.  We also offer a specialized curriculum for experienced teachers working in Independent SchoolsLearn more
