Christine Lee

Head Track & Field Coach; Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and Athletics
Aquatics, teaching Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguard Training and all levels of swimming

Christine Lee has been the Director of the Track and Field Program since it's inception in 1986, serving as both Head Indoor and Outdoor Coach. She also served as Cross Country Coach from 1986 until 2009. She has coached 39 Academic All Americans and led the 1999 and 2007 XC team to capture the Seven Sisters Championship. She was named NEWMAC Coach of the Year in 1992. In addition to her cross country post, Lee serves as the Director of Track and Field and is a senior lecturer in physical education. Christine also teaches a hiking class and walking for fitness classes.

She was named Coach of the Year in 1992 (Cross Country) and Coach of the Year for Track and Field in 1994 and 1995. She was selected as the USTCA Coach of the Year (Northeast Region) in 1994. In track and field she has coached 7 All Americans, 20 Academic All Americans and a two-time National Champion during her tenure at Mount Holyoke. She has also led the track and field team to a NEWMAC Championship title (1995) and was named NEWMAC Coach of the Year in 1994 and 1995, and USTCA Coach of the Year (Northeast region) in 1994. Lee has also coached two NEWMAC Rookies of the Year: cross-country in 1993 and track and field in 2000.

Lee is a former marathon runner and semipro triathlete and is currently competing in open water swimming events.
