Convocation

Let’s get loud! Convocation kicks off the new academic year — and kicks class spirit into high gear.

The entire Mount Holyoke community is invited to Convocation, the annual ceremony for welcoming our newest students and celebrating the launch of the academic year. Students dress in their class colors (seniors wear gowns, but no caps or hoods). You’ll hear welcoming remarks from the Student Government Association President, a member of Staff Council, the Vice President of Equity and Inclusion, a Faculty member, and the President. This exciting event is immediately followed by a community picnic on Skinner Green. Don’t miss it!
