Our dedicated alumnae volunteers play a valuable role in the Office of Admission’s enrollment efforts. Not only do they broaden the reach of the College’s message – they exemplify the ways in which Mount Holyoke can shape a student’s future.
Each traveling staff member at Mount Holyoke’s Office of Admission is assigned a specific recruitment territory, within which they develop relationships with prospective students and school counselors. The goal of the Office of Admission is to have each region of the world also represented by an Alumna Admission Representative (AAR).
The role of the AAR is to serve as a liaison between prospective students and the Office of Admission. Admission staff communicate and coordinate with AARs in their assigned territory on a regular basis. Generally speaking, staff can field questions about travel, college fairs, or schools in a given region, while questions about Alumnae Admission Program logistics are best directed to Heidi Merrill, Alumnae Admission Program coordinator. Alumnae volunteers abroad, however, will work with the admission staff assigned to their region on both travel and Alumnae Admission Program matters.
