We regret to announce the cancellation of USGTC camps for the summer of 2018. The last-minute cancelation is the result of the USGTC's delayed/missing application to South Hadley's Board of Health. Mount Holyoke College recognizes the deep inconvenience this will cause families and participants who were hoping to attend the camp.
This is the philosophy that draws students to our Romance Languages and Cultures (RL&C) program. A major or minor in RL&C can lead to a variety of national and international careers including government, the culinary arts, academics, nongovernmental organizations, banking, fashion, and film. Through their discovery and knowledge of other languages, literatures, cultures and social structures, all central elements of the liberal arts tradition, students will strengthen their ability to function in a cross-cultural and global context by coming to a deeper understanding of their own language and culture. The RL&C program is open to students who are eager to assure fluency in at least two Romance languages, as well as knowledge of the literatures and cultures they represent.
