What clients may notice about my therapeutic style:
I have been trained in the psychodynamic model of therapy and most of my work is based on this model which incorporates a fuller understanding of how a client’s lived experiences help inform how they manage current life challenges. Additionally, my work is non-directive and I include a relational approach in working with clients and consider our work together as a partnership. I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on the foundation of a trusting therapeutic relationship which includes intimate dialogue where a client’s goals can be clarified and understood. My role is to listen empathically and without judgment while providing support and offering tools clients could utilize beyond our time in session. I consider myself bicultural and am bilingual, fluent in Spanish.
When I’m not at work...
I enjoy walking in nature with my dogs, reading and spending time with family.
