Lincoln Smith is the music director at Veritas Prep Charter, a 5-8 public middle school in Springfield Massachusetts. Lincoln is a vocal advocate of social justice and equity in music education. He has presented workshops and clinics on racism and the culture of power in music education at the Massachusetts Music Educators State Conference in Boston, and the National Association for Music Educators National Conference in Dallas, Texas. His most recent article, Four Foundations of a Music Program that Serves Black and Latino Students was published in the October edition of the Hechinger Report. His article, Digital Music for Social Justice was published in the February, 2018 edition of the Massachusetts Music Educators Journal. Smith is a 2016 graduate of the Mount Holyoke MAT program and is licensed in Music (all levels) and Moderate Disabilities (5-12).
