The Model United Nations’ Experimental Security Council met in Skinner Hall as part of Mount Holyoke’s third annual Model United Nations Conference March 4–7. The newest on the collegiate circuit, MHC’s conference welcomed Model UN delegations from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Salve Regina University, Hampshire College, and the University of Massachusetts. The participating schools sent delegates to represent one or more countries on three committees: the British War Cabinet (1812-1815), Afghan Cabinet, and Experimental Security Council. Dr. Tim McIver, the New Zealand delegate to the UN, gave the keynote address during opening ceremonies, discussing the UN and Iraq.
