Student Observers at Faculty Meetings In accordance with legislation adopted by the faculty, and at the direction of the president, twenty places are reserved for student observers to attend, without voice or vote, the regular open faculty meetings of the College. Of the twenty places, six are held for officers of the Student Government Association and staff of the Mount Holyoke News. If representatives of any student group wish to make brief remarks at the beginning of any meeting of the faculty, they must notify Sally Sutherland, associate dean of the faculty, a week in advance of the meeting, specifying who will be speaking and the general topic to be addressed. Faculty meetings for the 2001–2002 year will be held September 12, October 3, November 7, December 5, February 6, March 6, April 3, and May 1.
