Former NOW President Eleanor Smeal to Speak on October 20

Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority Foundation and former president of NOW, will speak at Mount Holyoke October 20 at 7:30 pm in Gamble Auditorium. A leading women’s rights activist for over two decades, Smeal will address the recent restrictions on reproductive freedom, how the rights of young adults are particularly threatened, and how to become involved in the fight to protect reproductive rights. This event is part of the "Meet Up. Mobilize. March." tour sponsored by the Feminist Majority, NOW, Planned Parenthood, and NARAL to promote the March for Reproductive Choice in Washington, D.C., on April 25, 2004.
