MHC Art in New Calendar

The Mount Holyoke Club of Fairfield Villages in Connecticut is now offering for sale Uncommon Artistry 2002, a calendar featuring the works of twelve MHC student artists. Club members, College art faculty, and student artists collaborated to produce the calendar, proceeds from which will support the club’s scholarship fund. Last spring, MHC students were invited to submit original works of art for consideration. Art faculty reviewed the works and picked twenty finalists. In June, the club held an "art happening" during which members chose the pieces to be included in the calendar. Each full-size calendar page features a color image of a painting, drawing, lithograph, sculpture, or photograph, as well as a profile of the student artist and key holidays and dates (at MHC and in general). The calendar is available at the campus store or can be purchased by mail. Send a check for $18 (payable to MHCFV), along with your full name and mailing address, to the Mount Holyoke Club of Fairfield Villages, c/o Wilcauskas, 11 Fox Run Road, Wilton, CT 06897-1110.
