Foundation for Contemporary Mental Health; Washington, DC, is accepting applications for its Summer Mental Health Internship Program. Qualified internship candidates will have completed their junior year and taken a course in abnormal psychology, and will be interested in a career in mental health. Interns will be placed at day hospitals or inpatient psychiatric settings and work under the direction of a nursing supervisor. Possible placements include Psychiatric Institute of Washington DC, George Washington University Day Treatment Program, and Charter at Potomac Ridge, Rockville, MD. This internship is unpaid. Application deadline is March 15.

Brown University, Department of Chemistry; Providence, RI, has internships for students who have completed two years of introductory chemistry. Interns will work closely with faculty on research projects of mutual interest. Possible projects include mechanisms and enzymology of natural product biosynthesis, laser-based analytical instrumentation development, organometallic models for hydrodesulfurization, and the design of chiral acylation catalysts for the resolution of racemic alcohols. A stipend of $2,750 will be provided as well as housing in Brown University residence halls. Application deadline is March 4.

Crimson & Brown Associates; Cambridge, MA, is accepting applications for its two programs, FASTRAK and The Internship Referral Service. Both programs are designed to help minority juniors find internships. FASTRAK places students in a number of industries in the Boston area including consulting, financial services, and health care. The Internship Referral Service forwards student applications to employers around the country. Application deadline is March 1.

The Late Show with David Letterman, New York, NY, has internships for students interested in the television industry. Interns will assist in one of the following: research, talent, music, production, writing, audio consulting, pet and human trick coordinating, costume design, set design, graphic arts, and the executive producer's office. Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm; Dayton, OH, is seeking interns interested in environmental education. Interns will teach natural history and environmental issues to farm visitors. Students will also help work the organic farm, and participate in the center's general operations. Housing and a stipend of $675 provided. Application deadline not specified.

Arena Stage; Washington, DC, has internships for students interested in theater administration. Possible internship areas include communications, business office work, development, house management, and ticket operations. All candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Application deadline is March 1.

Princeton University, Plasma Physics Laboratory; Princeton, NJ, is accepting applications for its Summer Research Opportunities in Plasma Physics and Engineering Program. Candidates must be from historically black colleges and universities, women's colleges, or other institutions that serve minorities. Interns will begin the program with two weeks of laboratory instruction. They will then be assigned to a research team working in an area of the laboratory's fusion-energy research. A stipend of $3,600, housing, and reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided. Application deadline is March 29.
