"Celebration: A Spectacle for Dancers and Horses," one of many festive events marking The Campaign for Mount Holyoke College's official kickoff, captured the spirit of the weekend. Photo by Jim Gipe.

The five-year comprehensive campaign aims to raise $200 million, the largest goal ever attempted by a U.S. women's college.

At least 250 visitors joined members of the campus and local communities to celebrate the campaign's official start. October 16 18 was a weekend of special events that included academic presentations, symposia, arts performances, an interfaith worship service, and a fun-run in honor of College founder Mary Lyon.
