The Philosophy of Film
Introductory Text and Readings

Edited by Thomas E. Wartenberg and
Angela Curran

The Philosophy of Film: Introductory Text and Readings is a textbook designed specifically for use in introductory courses on the philosophy of film. This site is designed to assist instructors in choosing films to use in their courses in conjunction with this textbook. It suggests a range of films that could be appropriate for use with the readings in each section of the book. These are just suggestions. If you find other films that you think work well with any of the selections, please contact us so that we can include your ideas along with our own suggestions. Thanks for using the book and let us know what you think of it. -TEW and AC
