Angelica Castro is the Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Advisor for C.A.U.S.E., Creating Awareness and Unity for Social Equality, Mount Holyoke College’s umbrella student community service organization. Through partnerships with various campus constituencies and community organizations, Castro helps students get connected and raise awareness and funds through events, volunteer projects and community engagement opportunities throughout the Pioneer Valley, including Holyoke, Springfield, South Hadley and Amherst.
Castro works with CBL Fellows who specialize as Volunteer Recruitment Managers, student leaders of college student tutors and mentors supporting youth in after-school programs, and adults and families in community programs.
Angelica holds a Bachelors in Community Health and Theater and a Graduate Certificate in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master’s in Psychology and Education from Mount Holyoke College. She believes in social justice and equality for all and feels strongly that dialogue helps to bridge understanding across differences. When she's not working, she enjoys hanging out with her four beautiful and powerful sons ranging from 7-18 years of age.
