Elaine Bergeron has worked in theater, film, and television for over 25 years. She brings her love of clothing and construction to the costume shop, where she oversees shop crews, the hair and make-up crews, student designers, and a costume construction course. In education, Elaine has worked at Brown University, Trinity College, The University of Hartford’s Hartt School and the University of CT.
Professionally Elaine has worked for such diverse organizations as The Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center, The Papermill Playhouse, Hartford Stage, The Spoleto Festival, Crossroads Theater Co., The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and The National Black Arts Festival. Elaine has also worked in film and television as a wardrobe supervisor, costumer, and assistant costume designer. Some credits include “ The Man Without A Face”, the Cable Ace awarded “Fallen Angels”, and the cult classic “ Tales From the Darkside”. Elaine is a longtime vintage clothing seller and appraiser, and is working on the restoration, cataloging, and proper storage of Mount Holyoke College’s Antique Clothing Collection.
