Miriam Esber has been the head lacrosse coach at Mount Holyoke since 2007. In addition to coaching lacrosse, Esber also teaches several classes, including Fitness for Life, Weight Training for Fitness, Running for Fitness, Racquetball, and Badminton.
Prior to coaching at Mount Holyoke, Esber was the head lacrosse coach at Hartwick College for three seasons. She led the team to a NYSWCAA Championship, and a 2nd place finish in the ECAC Upstate Tournament in 2006. Preceding Hartwick, Esber was the graduate assistant coach at Ithaca College, where she helped lead the team to an Empire 8 conference championship and berth to the NCAA tournament.
Esber is a graduate of the College of Wooster, where she was a Regional All-American in both field hockey and lacrosse. She attained her M.S. in Sport Psychology from Ithaca College, and is a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi national honor societies.
