President Pasquerella has launched new and supported on-going special initiatives both on and off-campus. Each reflects Mount Holyoke's commitment to fostering the alliance of liberal arts education with purposeful engagement in the world, and involves the full and active participation of members of the Mount Holyoke community.

Women in Public Service Project

The Women in Public Service Project is a collaboration between the five leading women's colleges and the U.S. Department of State to build a generation of women leaders who will invest in their countries and communities. Mount Holyoke and Smith colleges will be co-hosting the project's next two-week institute, titled "Reconstructing Societies in the Wake of Conflict: Transitional Justice and Economic Development," in 2014.

Women's Education Worldwide

Women's Education Worldwide is a convening of women's colleges from around the world to share best practices, collect and disseminate data about women’s colleges, foster exchange among the institutions, and advocate for women’s education worldwide.

The President's Commission on Diversity and Inclusion acts as an accountable body that sees diversity and inclusion as a strategic framework for actively examining and evaluating the institution's practices and policies and for setting goals with measurable outcomes.
