Beverley Bell

Dr. Beverley Bell currently teaches in the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) program, a teacher education program at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA, USA. She is first and foremost an educator, having worked in a range of schools and classrooms in South Africa for 16 years. During this time she was involved in developing both curriculum for Accounting and Business studies and multicultural workshops for teachers. She has taught in various Teacher Education Programs at the University of Massachusetts, the College of the Holy Cross, and Mount Holyoke College.

Along with two other colleagues at Mount Holyoke College, Dr. Bell developed a partnership between Mount Holyoke College and the University of Pretoria with Dr. Jonathan Jansen. She has led four groups of prospective teacher education students on field study courses to South Africa, focusing on educating for social justice and teachers as agents of change. She is also a consultant on various projects that focus on teacher professional development in South Africa and Pakistan.
