This hybrid course is a comprehensive professional development opportunity for practicing teachers of English as a Foreign Language. Through online content and a two-week residential component, participants will inform their classroom practice through cutting-edge theory in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching. In the online component, participants discuss literature, develop teaching materials, and write lesson plans, with feedback from the instructor and other class members. During the two weeks in residence at Mount Holyoke College, participants engage with the content in a practice classroom setting and enjoy exposure to American English and culture through planned excursions and group activities on campus.
