Vinnie Ferraro is the Ruth Lawson Professor of International Politics at Mount Holyoke College where he has been an instructor since 1976. He received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1971, his Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University in 1973, and his Ph.D. in Political Science from M.I.T. in 1976. He regularly teaches world politics at the University of Massachusetts, and has also taught at Smith and Amherst Colleges. His courses include a first-year seminar on the rhetoric of peace and war, and courses on international political economy and American foreign policy. Ferraro has served as an academic consultant to the Pew Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme, and the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees.
