Adri is originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1999 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in business management at Clayton State University; graduating in 2003. Adri has always enjoyed working with children and volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and as a reading program assistant at a local elementary school while completing her studies.
Since graduating, Adri has been employed as an office manager for a consulting company in the pharmaceutical industry. However, after 11 years of working in the corporate world, she has decided to transition back to her first love of working with children. Mount Holyoke’s M.A.T. program was the best way to prepare her for this career change. As an immigrant and second language English speaker herself, Adri is especially interested in working in areas with high immigrant populations to help these students navigate the complexities of learning in a new language.
In her spare time, Adri enjoys reading, traveling, biking, and CrossFit. She currently resides in Easthampton, Massachusetts, with her husband Michael.
