Bevan Brunelle is a native of Holyoke and a UMass Alum. She graduated with a B.A. in Writing, Performing & Directing for the Stageand soon after moved to Tucson, Arizona and began working for Arizona Theatre Company, where she held such positions as Company Manager and Marketing and Public Relations Manager. In Tucson, while working for ATC, Bevan owned Arizona Acrobatics,weekly adult acrobatics classes she taught. She also participated in multiple Play in a Day competitions, winning best new play in 2004. In 2006, Bevan was named one of Tucson Business Edge's 40 Under 40. Bevan was also a volunteer radio DJ for 93.1 FM KXCI Tucson, hosting her own weekly Music Mix show before moving to Bisbee, Arizona in 2009. In Bisbee, Bevan freelanced doing Public Relations and Marketing for a number of non-profit arts organizations. She proudly helped to expand services to Cochise County forStories that Soar, a K-12 arts literacy program based in Tucson, Arizona. Bevan was also the President of the Board of Directors forThe Community Montessori School of Bisbee, helping to raise funds and achieve nonprofit status to open the pre-school on the Mexican Border. After moving back to Western Massachusetts in 2011, Bevan was the Marketing Manager for CityStage & Symphony Hall for two years before transitioning into the world of education. Bevan is a Middle School Science teacher in Holyoke and is the proud mother of one son. She completed her MAT in 2017 as well as additional licenses in Moderate Disabilities and English Language Learners.
