Nicole Martins was born and raised in South Hadley only about a mile away from the Mount Holyoke College campus, but swore she would never go to school so close to home. After graduating from South Hadley High School she moved to Boston and earned her Bachelors Degree in Political Science and graduated Magna Cum Laude. After careful consideration and discussion with friends and family she realized that she wanted to become a teacher and that is when Mount Holyoke College became a viable option for her. Nicole is excited to start her career in the education field. She has high ambitions for her place the future of education in this area. Nicole was offered a job a week after her practicum ended in the same school she taught in, Agawam Junior High. She is now be a 7th grade social studies teacher in a school that she fell in love with during her practicum.
Nicole returned to Mount Holyoke College to pursue a Moderate Disabilities license because she wanted to increase her knowledge as an educator.
