Crime & Fire Logs July 2015

On July 31 at 10:45 am officers responded to the Library Green for a report of a motor vehicle accident. A contractor's vehicle backed into a light pole (1501-38-AC).

On July 29 at 4:13 pm officers and SHFD responded to 1837 hall for a maintenance problem. A carbon monoxide detector was found to be faulty after the area was checked (1501-694-OF).
 
On July 28 at 12:20 pm officers took a report of a threat to commit a crime. This is a dispute between a supervisor and an employee (1501-692-OF).
On July 22 at 12:20 pm officers took a report of lost property at the Campus Police station. A student lost a passport on campus (1501-682-OF).
On July 22 at 10:23 am officers and SHFD responded to Ciruti for a fire alarm. The alarm was set off by the flushing of hydrants outside the building, but reset itself, an electrician was notified (1501-681-OF).

On July 20 at 7:07 am officers and SHFD responded to the art building for a fire alarm. The cause of alarm was a malfunctioning detector an electrician was notified (1501-678-OF).

On July 19 at 7:00 am officers and SHFD responded to Willits Hallowell for a fire alarm. The cause of alarm was a malfunctioning smoke detector in a guest room and electrician was called (1501-677-OF).
 
On July 18 at 1:32 pm officers and SHFD responded to 15 Woodbridge St for a fire alarm. The cause of alarm was a lightning storm in the area that caused the panel to malfunction an electrician was called (1501-676-OF).

On July 17 at 4:14 pm officers and SHFD responded to the Observatory for a fire alarm. The alarm was accidentally set off by contractors working in the area (1501-674-OF).
On July 17 at 4:52 am officers and SHFD responded to South Mandelle hall for a fire alarm. The cause for alarm was water pressure a plumber was called (1501-672-OF).
On July 15 at 1:06 am officers and SHFD responded to Clapp hall for a fire alarm. The cause for alarm was a humidifier left on (1501-669-OF).
On July 11 at 11:36 pm officers and SHFD responded to Torrey hall for a fire alarm. The cause for alarm was a faulty detector (1501-664-OF).
On July 7 at 3:16 pm officers and SHFD responded to Willits Hollowell for a fire alarm. The cause for alarm was a faulty detector (1501-656-OF).
 
On July 6 at 12:07 pm officers responded to the Gorse lot for a report of vehicle damage. A window of one of the mini buses was broken (1501-654-OF).

On July 4 at 3:53 pm officers responded to the area of Blanchard circle for a report of damage to a motor vehicle. A large branch had fallen and damaged a zip car (1501-651-OF).

On July 4 at 2:15 am officers responded to Safford hall for a medical emergency. A conference attendee was transported to the hospital for additional care (1501-647-OF).

On July 4 at 12:37 am officers and SHFD responded to Prospect hall for a fire alarm. The chair from the earlier incident had been moved back into a room and reignited (1501-646-OF).

On July 3 at 8:54 pm officers and SHFD responded to Prospect hall for a fire alarm. A footrest cushion was placed to close to a gas fireplace and ignited, Campus Police was able to extinguish the fire prior to SHFD's arrival, SHFD inspected the area and determined the fire was out (1501-645-OF).

On July 1 at 9:09 am officers responded to the Prospect lot for a report of damage to college property. A tractor trailor truck delivering food could not make the turn and did some minor damage to the grass (1501-637-OF).

On July 1 at 6:03 am officers responded to the athletic fields for a report of vandalism. The construction fencing around the soccer field was down and did not appear to be a result of weather (1501-635-OF).
