Crime & Fire Logs March 2014

On March 30 at 2:18am officers responded to Porter Hall for a medical emergency an intoxicated female.  A visitor to Campus was evaluated and left in the care of her hostess (Incident #1401-350-OF).

On March 30 at 2:24am while on patrol at Chapin auditorium officers took a report of  larceny.  Two visitors to Campus reported items stolen from a coat they had left while they attended an event.  The coat was also missing (Incident #1401-349-OF).  Case Open.

On March 30 at 1:38am officers responded to Mandelle/1837 parking lot for a report of a suspicious vehicle.  A male party was identified and found to be the subject of a trespass notice that was served in hand (Incident #1401-347-OF).

On March 29 at 8:41pm officers responded to Lower Lake Road for a medical emergency.  A male party was evaluated at the scene and he refused additional care (Incident #1401-345-OF).

On March 29 at 3:20am officers responded to North Mandelle Hall for a report of annoying behavior.  A student reported a male party behaving strangely  (Incident #1401-342-OF).

On March 28 at 12:41pm officers responded to the Art Building to take a report of information received.  The information will be held on file (Incident #1401-336-OF).

On March 27 at 12:35pm officers responded to Blanchard for a medical emergency.  A student was evaluated and transported to the hospital for additional care (Incident #1401-333-OF).

On March 27 at 12:15pm officers took a report of vandalism.  A staff member reported damage to her vehicle (Incident #1401-331-OF).  Case Open.

On March 26 at 11:10am officers responded to Clapp Hall to take a report of a larceny.  A staff member reported theft of equipment from the labs (Incident #1401-329-OF).  Case Open.

On March 26 at 11:10am officers responded to Clapp Hall to take a report of a college policy violation.  A staff member reported unauthorized use of college property (Incident #1401-328-OF).

March 17 and March 23:

On March 22 at 10:30pm officers responded to 83 College Street for a fire alarm.  SHFD responded (Incident #1401-322-OF).

On March 22 at 3:22am officers responded to Pearsons Annex for an alarm.  SHFD responded (Incident #1401-320-OF).

On March 21 at 7:11pm officers responded to Wilder Hall for a medical emergency.  A student was evaluated and no additional care was required (Incident #1401-319-OF).

On March 21 at 3:37pm officers responded to Wilder Hall for a medical emergency.  A student was evaluated and advised to seek additional care with Health Services if necessary (Incident #1401-317-OF).

On March 17 at 9:05am officers responded to Mead Hall for a fire alarm.  SHFD responded (Incident #1401-312-OF).

March 10 and March 16:

On March 15 at 1:40pm while on patrol officers took a report of a maintenance problem.  A staff member reported an alarm and SHFD responded (Incident #1401-309-OF). 

On March 14 at 1:30pm officers responded to Mead Hall to take a report of a larceny.  A student reported her coat missing from the laundry room (Incident #1401-304-OF).  Case Open.

On March 14 at 11:18am officers responded to MacGregor Hall for a well being check.  A student was located and transported to the Health Center (Incident #1401-303-OF).

On March 12 at 7:28pm officers took a report of an assault.  A student reported unwanted touching while on the bus (Incident #1401-294-OF).  Case Open.

On March 12 at 5:00pm officers responded to Willits to take a report unauthorized use of College property.  A staff member reported a computer used without permission (Incident #1401-293-OF).

On March 12 at 12:21pm officers took a report of two suspicious males.  A student reported an interaction with two males on Lower Lake Road (Incident #1401-291-OF).  Case Open.

On March 11 at 9:10pm officers took a report of lost property.  A student reported a necklace she was wearing went missing without her having realized it (Incident #1401-283-OF).

On March 10 at 5:27pm officers responded to Prospect to assist a student who was not feeling well. The student was assessed and was transported to Health Services (Incident #1401-264-OF).

On March 10 at 4:08pm a student reported her room was entered some time overnight between March 8 and 9 and stole cash from the room (Incident #1401-263-OF). Case Open.

On March 10 at 2:07am officers received a report from a student regarding unauthorized postings in Psych-Ed and other buildings on campus. The Dean was advised (Incident #1401-257-OF).

March 3 and March 9:

On March 9 at 12:55pm a student reported someone opened the dorm to her room in North Rockefeller at around 3am that morning. The male told the student that he had the wrong room. The student additionally reported she saw the same man running down the hall about an hour later (Incident #1401-258-OF). Case Open.

On March 9 at 9:55am a student reported someone entered their unlocked room at North Rockefeller between 3:30am and 4:05am.  Stolen from the room was an iPhone. The student reported that the only activity she noticed in the hall around were two males and a female walking down the hall (Incident #1401-255-OF). Case Open.

On March 9 at 9:13am a student reported that someone entered their unlocked room in North Rockefeller between 2:00am and 7:30am. Stolen from the room were a computer, iPhone, charger, wallet with some debit and credit cards, keys, and a student ID. Later that day, the wallet and keys were found and were returned to the student; cash that was in the wallet was removed. (Incident #1401-254-OF). Case Open.

On March 9 at 5:04am officers and the fire department responded to a fire alarm at Mead Hall. The cause was determined to be a sprinkler system malfunction, and Facilities Management was notified (Incident #1401-253-OF).

On March 9 at 3:58am two students, who are roommates in South Rockefeller Hall, reported someone entered their unlocked room between 12:15am and 3:45am and stole a laptop and iPhone.  The students reported the only thing unusual in the hall was they had seen a couple of unescorted males on the floor prior to their departure (Incident #1401-251-OF).

On March 8 at 1:45am officers received a report of a male guest at Creighton Hall who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Officers were able to remove the male from the building and performed sobriety testing. Based on those results, the male was placed into protective custody. In the morning when he was able to pass sobriety tests, he was released to a friend and was trespassed from campus (1401-245-OF).

On March 8 at 1:12am officers and the EMTs responded to North Mandelle Hall to assess a student who was not feeling well. The student was referred to Health Services (Incident #1401-244-OF).

On March 8 at 12:15am officers responded to a report of vandalism at Blanchard Hall. A ceiling tile in a restroom was vandalized. Facilities Management cleaned up the debris (Incident #1401-243-OF). Case Open.

On March 7 at 10:53pm officers responded to a report of males playing with fire extinguishers at Kendade. The males were not located in that area, but officers smelled alcohol and found a party in Cleveland Hall. Students involved were identified and will be referred to the Deans' Office. The students and guests cleaned up the area and departed upon officers' requests. (Incident #1401-242-OF). Referred to Deans.

On March 7 at 3:39pm officers received a report of graffiti in a restroom in Blanchard Hall. Facilities Management was notified (Incident #1401-241-OF). Case Open.

On March 7 at 1:16pm officers and the fire department responded to the Gorse Children's Center for a fire alarm. The cause was due to be a heat detector; Facilities Management was notified (Incident #1401-240-OF).

On March 6 at 8:29pm officers and the Fire Department responded to the Willits-Hallowell Center for a fire alarm. The system was reset (1401-237-OF)

On March 6 at 7:30pm a college laptop was reported stolen from the Library. A student located the laptop the next day (1401-236-OF). Case Closed.

On March 5 at 4:04pm officers arrested a male party for outstanding warrants.  Arrested was (Incident #1401-4-AR):

On March 5 at 4:04pm while on patrol officers took a report of suspicious behavior.  A male party was identified and charged with indecent exposure and disturbing the peace (Incident #1401-233-OF).

On March 5 at 4:04pm while on patrol officers took a report of suspicious behavior.  A male party was identified and trespassed from Campus (Incident #1401-228-OF).

On March 5 at 11:44am officers responded to the Equestrian Center for a medical emergency.  A student was evaluated and transported to the Hospital for additional care (Incident #1401-225-OF).

On March 4 at 9:17pm officers responded to South Rockefeller Hall to take a report of a college policy violation.  A referral was made to the Deans (Incident #1401-222-OF).

On March 4 at 8:30pm officers responded to Rooke Hall for a medical emergency.  A student was evaluated and transported to the Hospital for additional care (Incident #1401-221-OF).

On March 4 at 12:07pm officers responded to Brigham Hall for a medical emergency.  A student was evaluated and transported to the Hospital for additional care (Incident #1401-220-OF).

 On March 1 at 5:24am officers arrested a student for disturbing the peace.  Arrested was (Incident #1401-2-AR):

On March 1 at 10:51pm officers responded to Prospect Hall for a fire alarm.  SHFD responded (Incident #1401-211-OF).
