Academic Calendar for Summer 2018 (PaGE)

PaGE: Summer Session 1

  • Summer 1 and Summer 2 registration opens: Mon May 7
  • Memorial Day holiday - College closed: Mon May 28
  • First day of classes: Tues May 29
  • Last day to add course: Thur May 31
  • Last day to drop course without "W" (without any record on transcript): Tues June 5
  • Last day to withdraw from course ("W" on transcript): Weds June 20
    • Print Withdrawal form, have instructor sign it, submit it to Registrar's Office by deadline
  • Last day to request Ungraded Option (credit/no credit grading instead of a letter grade; typically available only for undergraduate-level courses): Weds June 20
  • Independence Day holiday - College closed: Wed July 4
  • Last day of classes (includes final exam, if there is one for the course): Fri July 6
  • Summer break: Sat July 7 through Sun July 8
  • Grades due to Registrar's Office, via my.mtholyoke: Wed July 11 11pm
  • Grades will be visible to students in my.mtholyoke: starting noon Thurs July 12

PaGE: Summer Session 2

  • Last day to withdraw from course ("W" on transcript): Mon July 30
    • Print Withdrawal form, have instructor sign it, submit it to Registrar's Office by deadline
  • Last day to request Ungraded Option (credit/no credit grading instead of a letter grade; typically available only for undergraduate-level courses): Mon July 30
  • Last day of classes (includes final exam, if there is one for the course): Fri Aug 10

    • Print Withdrawal form, have instructor sign it, submit it to Registrar's Office by deadline
  • Last day to request Ungraded Option (credit/no credit grading instead of a letter grade; typically available only for undergraduate-level courses): Tues July 24
  • Last day of classes (includes final exam, if there is one for the course): Fri Aug 10
  • Grades due to Registrar's Office, via my.mtholyoke: Mon August 13 11pm
  • Grades will be visible to students in my.mtholyoke: starting noon Tues August 14

Notes applicable to all three sessions:

  • Students experiencing a health or personal emergency at the end of their course who want an extension (Incomplete grade) to complete work after the last day of classes must secure the approval of PaGE's Executive Director on or before the last day of the class. Extensions will not be granted after the last day of class.
  • Courses taken through Mount Holyoke's PaGE program, except by graduate degree students, appear on a transcript for non-degree work. Continuing Mount Holyoke undergraduate students who wish to apply PaGE credits towards their Mount Holyoke degree must request that the Registrar transfer the credits. The Registrar will then evaluate and post any transferable PAGE credits to the student's undergraduate transcript, per Mount Holyoke's usual transfer credit policies. Additional specifics about PaGE transfer are available here. To request transfer of PaGE credits, email the Registrar's Office while you are still active in your undergraduate degree program. Grades do not "transfer" (affect GPA) when PaGE credits are accepted for transfer

Master of Arts in Mathematics Teaching - Summer Session

  • For each week-long module, a "W" will be assigned to students who withdraw from the course after the first class meeting. The last day to withdraw ("W" on transcript) is the Wednesday of the course. 
    How: contact page@mtholyoke.edu. Then, print withdrawal form, have instructor sign it, and, before the deadline, submit it to Registrar's Office by deadline.

Mathematics Leadership Programs - Summer Institutes

  • Students wishing to elect the option of taking any of the Institute's weeklong modules for credit must do so by recording their decisions with the PaGE Office (page@mtholyoke.edu) on or before the last day of the class
  • Faculty must submit grade rosters confirming completion of credits to the Registrar's Office, via my.mtholyoke: by Mon August 13 11pm
