The First Generation Student Summit, under the Class Action Organization, serves as a site for the ‘meeting of the minds.’ First gen students and their allies come together to identify problems, discuss grassroots solutions and share what’s working on other campuses. First and foremost, we want to find solutions identified by students who can work with their staff, administrator and faculty allies. Class Action offers spaces where students can both identify these problems and build grassroots solutions to them.

We are proud to announce that the 2018 First Generation College Student Summit will be hosted at Mount Holyoke College, supported by the Division of Student Life and the First Gen Work Group

Registration Information

Mount Holyoke College students, faculty, and staff is register free. However, there are limited spaces so you must register by Friday, April 6, 2018, 11:59pm

For more information about the summit, visit the Class Action website or contact Division of Student Life at 413-538-2550.

All are invited to join us in a celebration of this important seasonal holiday. Learn how the cycles of the earth affect us, and how our ideas of Halloween have their roots in ancient Celtic spiritual practices. This is the time of year when we look back at what the year has brought us and look forward at what’s to come.

During Samhain, the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest. In our ritual, we will be focusing on our connection to our ancestors and the lessons we can learn from them. This is primarily an experiential event, but you are welcome to attend even if you have no previous knowledge. We are happy to answer any questions you have! Please email questions in advance of the event to Jasper Lafleur (lafle22a@mtholyoke.edu).
